In chronological order. I feel that both in paintings and in my books illustrating the Word of God, it was something He gave me, art is what I do, and it is a time with Him. It seems that we are conduits of His Spirit and His Life.
My first piece as an Christian was a mural. I was a stranger there, and the leading brother gave me a room with a wall. In there I learned more of Jesus and met the saints as they would wander in. I became part of a body of believers, we became very close as we eventually left “the building”, meeting in homes and more of a community gathering. One of the most beautiful times in Jesus. Twice I was blessed with close fellowships in Christ. Together or apart, we are one body in Him… joined in His Spirit.
During those times and after, I have mostly met with believers outside organized christianity, if at all. Yet dear saints are everywhere, in and out of the organized institutional christianity. God is good. We have Life in His Son.
